| Game Notes: The Thunder (4-0, 2-0) advanced to the championship game of the Eagan tournament with a 11-8 win over Shoreview Saturday night. Reliever Dan Coyle (1-0) pitched a scoreless 5th to earn his first win of the season in relief of starter Andy Dziekan. Trailing 5-3 into the 5th, the Thunder rallied for eight runs, helped by five walks and one HBP by Shoreview hurlers. Cory Meyer (RS) and Spencer Pratt (RS) each had two hits; Andy Gensch (1B) scored twice and knocked in a run. Casey Jacobson, Robbie Sikich and Dziekan added runs, while Tom Bauer, Adam Shie, Pete "Z-Man" Zukanoff and Sam Foy all scored once and drove in a run. All told, the Thunder put 20 runners on base in five innings. The club faces south division rival Eagan in the tournament finale Sunday evening at Eagan High School. | ||||||||||
