The Thunder tallied an unearned run in the top half of the 8th to beat Lakeville North 11-10. The game was played to complete the 6/16 match-up between the two clubs which had ended in a 10-10 tie. Cory Meyer led off and reached on an error, followed by a walk to Adam "Iceman" Shie. After LVN recorded a 5-3 double play, Tom Bauer reached on another Panther error, with Shie scoring from second base on the play. Shie (3-0) retired the side in order on just 8 pitches in the bottom half of the inning, securing the victory. With the win, the Thunder (11-4, 7-2) kept pace with division leaders Eagan (5-0) and Burnsville (6-1), who face each other in a division-altering double dip Wednesday. The Thunder has already split with the Pythons and face the Patriots in their division finale on Sunday night, a game that could determine the division champion.
