Notes:
Kelley The Lightning battled back to split their first two games against the teams from the town of Lakeville. Tonight Eastview beat Lakeville South 16-1 and outhit the Cougars 9-1. Brady Kelley (5 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 8 K) went the distance on the mound and he kept hitters off balance all night with a mix of fastballs, curveballs, and a few changeups as well. The offense struck out nine hits for the second straight game; this time they had ten walks as well leading to the large score. Every single person in the lineup either drove in a run or scored a run. Dan Spika (3-RBI 3B) had the big knock of the night. Reller (3 BB SB), Spika (2 BB, 2 RS), & Metz (3 RS, 2B, 3 RBI) all reached base three times in the game. Eastview has a week off until the face off against Burnsville under the lights at Legion Field. Burnsville is currently 1-0 after beating this Lakeville South squad 15-2 in their season opener. With as many as nine games in a seven day period starting next week, Eastview is expecting to test some of its' pitching depth. Kelley (W, 1-0) |
