| Game Notes: The Thunder (9-1, 5-1) rallied with two in the top half of the 7th to upend host Rosemount, 3-2. Righthander Nolan Titchner ran his record to 3-0 with six solid innings of work, yielding just two runs on five hits. He struck out one and walked three. Robbie Sikich came on to close the door with a hitless seventh to secure the win. It was Sikich's first career save for the Thunder. Mike Radermacher established a new team record for put-outs in one game with 17, including two sparklers that saved runs for Titchner. The offense stalled for most of the evening until veteran Joel Bertelsen's clutch, two-out, two-run double put the club ahead in the top half of the 7th. The inning started with a strike out, but Sikich reached and was followed by Radermacher's second knock of the night, putting two on with one out. After a pop-out for out number two, Bertelsen stepped in and lined a 2-1 offering to the gap in left-center, sending Sikich and Radermacher home with the tying and go-ahead runs. Bertelsen (2 2B) and Radermacher each had two hits on the night. Matt Lilledahl (SB, RBI) put the club on the board with a run-scoring single in the fourth, and continued his hot hitting with a 2-for-3 night at the plate. The club returns to action Friday night against West Division power Eden Prairie in the Richfield Tournament. Last season the two teams met in the State Tournament, with the Thunder winning 9-2. The club will face three teams who made appearances in last year's state tourney, including runner-up Cretin, who eliminated Eastview in the semi-final. | ||||||||||
