| Game Notes: Quarterback Nick Sitzberger hooked up with Kevin Robinson on two long scoring tosses, Ricky Phillips shredded the South defense for 220 yards and a score, and Josh Regent - Smith spear-headed two goal line stands ... oh wait a minute... Actually, the Pope bats sprung to life pounding out 17 hits and crossing the plate 21 times as they handed the Classic 8 Conference Champs from Waukesha South a 21-7 pasting. Dave Van Rixel led the offensive barrage with a 3-3 night including a triple and 5 RBI. Kevin Robinson knocked in 3 with 3 singles, and Andy Brzakala, Joe Schreck, Tom Hoffman, and Ryan Pogodzinkski had two hits apiece, with Pogodzinkski driving in 4 and Brzakala 3. Robinson notched the win, scattering 3 hits and allowing just 1 run over the final 4 innings in relief of sophomore Peter Behnke. | ||||||||||
