Notes:
Defence was the story on this night; or lack thereof. After having leads of 3-0, 4-1, and 9-7 error filled innings in the 6th and 7th squashed any chances that the Storm's softball team may have had in pulling this one out. The boys hit the ball exttemely well, however, this being only our second game ever played at the Sportsplex the guys had a hard time picking up the ball in the poor lit outfield. Rodney Cyr 4/5 (triple, 2 doubles, single, 2 runs) and Troy Legace 2/2 (double, single, 2 BB's, 2 runs) continued to carry the team offensively. Some other good performances at the dish on this night were had by: Scott Nealis 3/4 (double, 2 singles, run scored) and Dan Malley 2/4 (double, single, 2 runs scored). Let's keep working on playing a complete game fellas, that's including defence. I think it's about time we put ourselves on the map with the big two (Dart Club & Pub 1755). |
