| Game Notes: Three costly errors in the bottom 1/2 of the third gave the Wildcats 3 runs, two of which were unearned. The Lions held a 3-2 lead going into the third. Pitching continued to be a bright spot for the Lions. Three Lynden pitchers (B. Anderson, T. Martin, C. Kok) combined to pitch a six hitter. The three combined for only 4 walks, and struck out 9 Wildcats. The bats started off hot for the Lions. Michael Hagerty lead off the game with a single, the second in two games, followed up by Jordan Head's bomb to left center field. Michael ended the day with 2 hits (1B, 2B). Taylor Martin helped himself on the mound by going 2-4. The Lions had a chance to tie it in the top half of the 7th inning. Martin singled to start the inning, and Chas Kok bunted him along to second. A past ball sent Martin to third, but a strike out and a soft fly to center ended the day for the Lions. | ||||||||||
