Game Notes: A great game broke out Saturday at Bluejay Stadium, new to the CRVL, Waconia Lakers get a 6-3 win. Cody got the start for Jays and looked good, allowing only 2 hits 0 runs through 4 inns. Exit Cody, enter new Bluejay Jake Bratsch. Jake got himself instantly in a jam, but worked himself out in the 5th without allowing a run . Back to back 2 out doubles by Slater & Tony gave Plato a early 1-0 lead. Control problems to start the 6th and Enter Tony with bases loaded no outs.. 4 runs would cross home for the Lakers, 4-1 Waconia. Bluejays come right back a walk and 2 big hits to cut the lead to 4-3. Bluejays leave the bases loaded in the 7th and dont get the hit they need in the 8th. A couple errors in top 9, lead to Lakers adding 2 insurance runs, and the Lakers hang on to win 6-3 for there 1st CRVL win. W Brown L Bratsch S Smothers Smothers made his return to Blujays Stadium as a part of the Lakers, he pitched great in relief and earned the save, nothing but love for that guy.
