Game Notes: Braves travel to neighboring St. James, score early and often, and cruise to a 10-4 win. The offense posted 7 runs in the first three innings and relied on the pitching of Kyle Smith and Trevor Bigham to maintain the lead. Kyle allowed one earned run while striking out seven in five innings of work and Trevor held the Sharks the rest of the game, giving up an oh-by-the-way two run homer with two outs in the final frame. At the plate, the Braves found their long stroke hammering out four doubles in nine hits. Leading the way were Dalton Smith (2-4, 2-2b, rbi), Hayden Miller (1-2 2b, 3rbi, bb, hbp, 2r), and Kyle Smith (1-3, 2b, rbi, bb, 2r). Also rapping out hits were Trevor Bigham (1-3, rbi), R.J. Bethea (1-4, r, rbi), Tyler Dillon (1-4, bb, r), Dylan Thompson (1-4, r), and Hunter Renfrow (1-4). |
