Game Notes: Senior righty Jim Foy faced one over the minimum as he tossed a 5 inning no-hitter at Catholic Memorial, and the Popes generated a little offense to win 13-1. Foy fanned 6 and gave up just one walk in spinning his masterpiece. Two sparkling plays in right by Dave Van Rixel robbed the Crusaders of two potential hits and preserved the no-hitter. The lone Crusader run was scored on a walk, a wild pitch and a balk. The Pius offense strung together 7 hits and took advantage of 6 walks and 5 CM errors for the final margin. Kevin Robinson led the way with a 2-3 day including a 2B, 2 runs scored and 2 driven in. Greg Grocholski delivered a bases loaded 2B to drive in 3, and A.J. Seagraves and Joe Schreck had 2 RBI apiece.
