Notes:
Stark The Lightning snapped a three game losing streak and gained much-needed momentum heading into the state tournament this weekend by defeating district rival Rosemount 11-4 in a rescheduled game. The Lightning were led on the bump by Stark (cg, 3 k) who threw only the second complete game by a pitcher this year. He also only walked one and threw lots of strikes, keeping his D on their toes. The defense only committed two errors, only the ninth time all year they have committed 2 or less. The offense helped out by knocking in 11 runs and were led by Ritacco (2 h, 2 bb, 3 r), Anderson (3 h, 2b, 5 rbi), Velin (sb, rbi, hbp), & Christian (2 bb, 1b)-- all who reached base multiple times. Eastview has the rest of the week off to prep for the upcoming tournament and face Division 1 Champion Eden Prairie Red. The Lightning lost previously to them 8-6 in the Shakopee Tournament but led after four innings. The Lightning will send Woods (2-2, 2.91) to the bump in hopes of getting even with Eden Prairie.
