| Game Notes: On opening day of the 2012 SBR season on a brisk 94 degree day, the Thunder get the win over the defending state champions Minnetonka Mudhens, 8-2. Highlights of the game include a sensational diving catch by Henry McIsaac in right field and a Ryan Haggstrom seven-iron double down the third base line. EJ Stevens chipped in two hits for the Thunder. Veterans Field is a premier diamond featuring artificial turf playing surface. No dirty white pants, but definitely some strawberries after the eight stolen bases Sunday afternoon. | ||||||||||
