Notes:
The Miller/Wessington Shockers travelled to Plankinton on Sunday June 1st to open Pony Hills League play for the 2008 season. Miller/Wessington came out with a 12-11 win. Dave Jensen and Kaleb Rogers led a strong hitting attack, both hitting homeruns in the contest. Nathan Zacher got the win on the mound with Josh Hoffmann doing middle relief and Dustin Harvey getting the save. Complete stats will be in next week's paper. The win brings the Shocker record to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in league play. This week's action continues Tuesday evening with a 7:30 game in Redfield vs the 2006 State Champion DQ team. On Thursday, June 5th, it's back to Pony Hills play as the Shockers host 4 Corners at 7:30 pm at JC Terry Field in Miller. The local 9 then closes out the week travelling to Chamberlain for a 7:00 league game on Sunday, June 8th. |
