Game Notes: The boys battled back three times from deficits of at least 4 runs, including scoring five runs int he bottom of the final inning, to secure a 14-14 tie. The Storm played very strong defense the entire game - they made play after play in the OF and the IF - but we were able to generate enough offense at the end. Defensively we struggled again at key spots in the first two innings, giving the Storm extra outs in both innings. To their credit, the Storm took advantage of these opportunities. Once we settled down we managed to make enough plays in the IF to keep us within striking distance at the end - key plays included Jack R at C, Sean at SS and Will at 2B. We entered the bottom of the 4th down by 5 and we were running out of time. Max Callen started off the inning by working a walk after opening up 0-2 in what was a key at bat. Max eventually came around to score as the bottom of the order really came through for us - Max, Colin and Will all got on base and all three came around to score. Sean and Jack A managed to get on base and with two outs and two strikes Dylan hit a shot down the left field line that tied the game. We ended the game with the potential winning run on 3B but it was certainly an exciting and entertaining game. Kai, Sean and Dylan all pitched well. Game stars went to Sean, Dylan, Nick and Will; the game ball was awarded to Max.
