Notes:
Playing for pride in the consolation final of a midget baseball tournament in Oshawa last weekend brought out the best in the Kingston Braves- and none too soon. Trailing 7-1 in the fourth, the Braves scored seven times over the next four frames to tie Scarborough 8-8. Brad Devine, in his first game back from an injury, doubled home the tying runs in the bottom of the seventh, but was stranded at third with the winning run. Mark Beckstead and Kenny McIlroy combined on an eight-hitter for the Adam’s Shoppers Drug Mart Braves. |
