Game Notes: The Patriots dropped their first game of the season. After giving up three runs in the first inning, Sophomore Aaron Burton settled down and held Bassett scoreless for 3 frames. The Patriotes took the lead in the top of the 4th inning but could not hold on. We struggled a bit last year playing with a lead and that continued today. We have to be able to get a stop the following inning after taking the lead. Junior Brad Sowers came in to relieve Burton and surrendered 5 runs in the 5 coupled with some errors. After that PH could not recover leaving 8 men on base with 5 in scoring position. PH will travel to Hidden Valley on Friday with first pitch at 5:00.
