| Game Notes: The Thunder (6-4, 3-3) beat Richfield in a non-divisonal match-up, 6-5. After surrendering a 5-3 lead in the seventh, the Thunder came back to load the bases in the bottom half and won the game on a one-out walk to John Grotkin (2B, GWRBI). Starter Brad "B-Train" Landgrebe went four strong innings, yielding an unearned run on just three hits. Grotkin (1-0) pitched the final three frames to earn his first win of the year in his debut on the mound. Mitch Haug went 2-for-2 and scored twice for the club; Nick "the Fantastic" Molitor (1B, 2B, 3B, RBI) continued his torrid hitting with three hits and two runs scored; and Landgrebe (21B, BB, RBI) added two hits and scored twice. Jeremy "JJ" McKay contributed a double and an RBI. The Thunder faces crosstown rival Apple Valley Wednesday at Legion Field, marking the first meeting of the season between the two teams. Righthander Jake Kruegel (1-1, 2.92, 1SV) takes the hill. | ||||||||||
