Notes:
Woods & Sikich (5) The Lightning got back on track with a blowout 13-4 win over Austin in their opening game. The Lightning struck quick in the first and right after Austin tied it, the Lightning put 6 up in a row. Eastview had a late rally to extend their lead and won after just 6 innings of play. Woods (7 K, 2 H, 1 ER) gave the Lightning a great start and earned his second win on the year. The offense had a patient eye with 16 walks and was led by Ritacco (3 bb), Vossen (2 rbi), Velin (2 rbi), Edsten (3 bb) and Devine (3 rbi): all five guys reached base 3+ times. The Lightning play host Rochester Mavericks later today and send Sam Christian (0-3, 9.33) to the mound to try and earn his first W. Woods (W, 2-1) |
