Game Notes: After a torrid week at the plate, the bats fell asleep as the Popes were whitewashed by the Franklin squad, 5-0. Sophomore Peter Behnke was the victim of the non-support. Making his varsity debut, Behnke had the Sabers off balance through 3 shutout innings until giving up 5 runs and being lifted in the 5th. Senior co-captain Joe Schreck, pitching for the first time since t-ball, performed well in relief, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 2 in 1+ innings. Kevin Robinson was the lone bright spot on offense as he collected half of the Popes 4 hits.
