| Game Notes: The Thunder (5-3, 4-3) built a 6-2 lead through five, then held off a late Python rally to win 6-5 at Alimagnet Wednesday night. Righthander Joe Radermacher (1-2) earned his first win of the season, going five innings, yielding just two runs and scattering five hits. He struck out five and walked just one. Ben Wagner came on to pitch the sixth to set up closer John "Rain Delay" Grotkin, who slammed the door with a scoreless seventh to preserve the win. Lead-off man Spencer Pratt (21B, 2RS, RBI) sparked the offense, reaching base three times to set the table for Mitch "Jeter" Haug (RBI), Wagner (RBI) and Grotkin, who reached base in each of his four plate appearances and knocked in one. Rookies Justin Trusty (1B,RS) and Joel Bertelsen (1B,2BB,2RS), along with utility man James Lenz, each scored runs for the club. | ||||||||||
