| Game Notes: After giving up a 3-run bomb run bomb in the 1st inning, Reece Schwirtz battled his tail off to pitch Plato to a win. He threw a total of 192 pitches in all 13 innings of this game. With Reece at the plate and down in the count, Tate Wischnack seized the day by stealing home from 3rd and scoring the game winning run. The pitcher did everything right by stepping off and throwing home but yelled, "OH NO!" when the ball sailed on him to the very top of the backstop to allow Tate to slide in safely for the win and to secure Plato's spot in the 2026 State Tournament. | ||||||||||||||||
