| Game Notes: The Thunder (9-5, 6-3) won its third straight league game, edging out a gutty Lakeville South club 3-1. Righthander Casey Jacobson tossed a four-hit complete game without giving up an earned run. He struck out seven and walked one. Jacobson's gem was needed as the Thunder offense was unable to get untracked. The club managed nine hits but left men on base in each inning except the third, when they were retired in order. Leading 1-0 with two out in the fifth, the Thunder gave itself some breathing room by tallying two runs on three straight doubles by Ben Wagner, Joe Radermacher and Joel Bertelsen. The win was the third straight in league play, tying a club record, and pulling the team within one game of the division lead with three to play. | ||||||||||
