Game Notes: Led by a strong performance from starting pitcher Brian Airey (5IP, 8K 1BB) the Oakland Bad Boys defeated the Tacoma Cascades for the second time this season. The Bad Boys now have a 4-3 record and are above .500 for the first time since their inaugural game in 2009. Oakland banged out 15 hits, led by free agent pickups Josh Jacobsen and Alika Antone, who had 3 hits apiece. After leading off the 7th with his second double of the game, Jacobsen scored the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Antone. Eric Brubaker picked up his first Roy Hobbs League win of his career, pitching the final two innings while striking out 3 Cascades. The Golden Boy also tied the game in the top of the sixth with an RBI single. NOTES... Head Coach Josh Hoke was HBP for the 3rd time this year, 16th all-time... Noel Carlson is second on the team in RBI with 3 after walking with the bases loaded in the 6th... Jeremy Acree has more than warning track power, but less than home run power, hence the double off the top of the fence in the 2nd inning. Acree is a career .483 (14-29) hitter vs. the Cascades. (.308 vs. the rest of the league)... Alfonso Rojas was traded to the Black Sox for a $65 and two game balls.... The Bad Boys left 12 runners on base and had two runners thrown out at home... Steve Sloboda needs to work on his base running skills.
