| Game Notes: Great game. Started out rough, leaving 2 guys on in the top of the 1st, then Airey proved Levine's Law correct in the bottom half. (The leadoff walk always comes around to score unless he doesn't) Despite not having his best stuff, Airey pitched 5 solid innings, picking up his second win of the year. The Bad Boys evened it up in the 2nd when Brubaker manufactured a run on his own by A. singling B. stealing second, C. stealing third and D. taking home on a dropped 3rd strike. Oakland took the lead for good in the 3rd, scoring 4 runs on 3 hits and an error with a pair of triples (Jacobson & Acree) NOTES... Zack Larson had a rough start and end to his day. He was struck by a laser off the bat of Acree during BP and likely broke a rib. Then in the top of the 7th, he snapped the sh*t out of his knee while trying to tag a runner out at first after and errant throw. If the league had a 15-day DL, he'd be on it. Get well soon Zack... Steve Sloboda broke out of a 1-24 slump, going 3-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.... The Bad Boys have won more games this season than they have in the first two years combined..... Brian Airey became Oakland all-time strike-out leader. | ||||||||||
