| Game Notes: The Thunder returned to its winning ways in a road win over Victoria, 7-0. Rookie sensation Ryan "Big Ticket" Stepan pitched five innings of one-hit baseball in his starting debut on the hill. Stepan (1-0), who had not pitched the past two seasons, only yielded an infield single in the fifth before being relieved by closer Beau Jacobson. Stepan struck out two and walked three. Beau Jacobson pitched two perfect frames to seal the win. After struggling the past two games, the Thunder defense was near flawless as they recorded twelve groundball outs and commited just one error. Andy Cutter led the offense with three hits and an RBI; Derek Jacobson (SB, 2B), Chad Eul, Beau Jacobson (2 RBI) and Jared Johnson (3B) all had two hits each. "Easy" Eddie Hagberg added an RBI for the Thunder (6-3 in division play). The club returns to its friendly confines Monday for a game against rival Eagan. | ||||||||||
