| Game Notes: The Thunder was pushed to the brink of elimination from the District Tournament after being upset by #4 seed Burnsville, 11-9. The club banged out 16 hits, led by three-hit days from Chad Eul (2RBI) and Jared Johnson (2B, RBI). Ryan "Big Ticket" Stepan (RS), Beau Jacobson (2RBI), Andy Cutter (RBI, 2RS), and "Easy" Eddie Hagberg (2RBI, RS) all had two knocks each. Despite the offensive production, the Thunder was again undone by spotty defensive play. The team committed three errors, giving them ten in the past two games, which led to six unearned runs for the Pythons. Starter Josh "Future" Retka gave the team five gutty innings of work, yielding four earned runs, striking out two with three walks. The Thunder will attempt to extend its season Saturday against the winner of Eagan-Victoria due to Bloomington's forfeit. Veteran righthander Alex Johnson takes the hill. | ||||||||||
