Notes:
The Thunder staved off elimination by shutting out Eagan, 17-0, in five innings. Righthander Alex Johnson (3-2) went the first 3 2/3 innings without allowing a hit and finshed with a four-hit shut-out, his first of the season. The Thunder defense played its first errorless game since June 18 vs. Lakeville. The offense continued to roll, banging out 17 hits. Josh "Future" Retka had four hits, scored four runs and knocked in two. He also played flawlessly at shortstop, tallying a season-high five assists with a put-out. Beau Jacobson (2B) drove in five on three hits and a walk. Ryan "Big Ticket" Stepan (SB,2B) had a three-hit day, scoring three runs. Andy Cutter knocked in three, Brad Landgrebe scored three, and Eddie Hagberg (2B) added two RBI and scored once. Jared Johnson had two hits with a run scored and an RBI. With the win, the Thunder advances to Sunday's elimination round and will face the loser of Saturday night's
Burnsville-Lakeville game. Brad "B-Train" Landgrebe gets the ball.
