Game Notes: The lead would change a few times during Pecatonica's home game against New Glarus. The visitors would take a shallow lead in the 1st inning when, with two outs, fielding errors enabled New Glarus batters to load the bases. Then a double to left center field would bring in three runs. Another outfielder's error would allow a fourth run before starting pitcher, N. Loyd struck out a batter for the final out. In the bottom of the 1st, Pecatonica would close to within one by capitalizing on several walks, a hit batter, a single by J. Scoville and fielder's choice hit by J. Hendrickson.

In the 2nd and 3rd innings, Pecatonica pitcher N. Loyd allowed only one hit and one walk while striking out 5 batters; the 6th out came when D. Clark caught a high fly ball to left center field. Down by one, Pecatonica's batters would regain a one-run lead in the bottom of the 3rd, thanks in part to a triple by J. Melvin and a single by J. Hendrickson.

The most exciting inning was the 4th inning when New Glarus would face relief pitcher, J. Scoville. Behind by one, with two outs, and one batter at first on a walk, New Glarus would regain the lead with a homerun hit deep to left center field. Unshaken, Scoville, stuck out the next batter to send the game into the bottom of the 4th. Pecatonica batter, D. Clark started the rally with a single down the third baseline. N. Loyd walked on a full count, and then J. Scoville regained the game's momentum by powering a homerun deep to right field between the fielder and foul line, earning himself 3 RBIs and regaining the lead for the Vikings. It was a lead they would retain throughout the rest of the game.

J. Scoville would strike out three batters in the 5th, after allowing only one hit and one walk. And in the bottom of the 5th, Pecatonica's lead increased by 5 more runs earned on walks and a fielder's choice hit by N. Loyd.

The top of the 6th would be New Glarus' last chance to overcome the 7-run deficit. Batters faced relief pitcher, D. Conwell who struck out the first batter. The second batter grounded out at first base. The third batter reached base when he was hit by a wild pitch, but Conwell ended New Glarus' chance when he fielded a grounder and tag the runner out between home and first base.
