Game Notes: The Pecatonica Vikings battled back from a huge deficit to claim a narrow victory over Argyle in the second meeting of the two teams this season.

Argyle took the lead early in the 1st when an Argyle runner stole home on a passed ball. The team would extend its lead by three in the 2nd on a series of fielding errors and a hit batter. While the Argyle defence kept Pec scoreless for four-straight inning, Argyle batters would capitalize on walks and a high-flying single out to centerfield to score two more runs.

Down by six in the bottom of the 5th, the Vikings finally began to rally when N. Gilbertson, the first batter up to the plate, was awarded first base after being hit by a pitch. Several more batters would load the bases on walks, and then D. Conwell cleared the bases with a triple to left center, earning 3 RBIs. G. Daley's single and T. Gilson's single would bring in two more runs before Daley would be caught off the bag at third for the final out of the inning.

With the score tied, Pec defenders were barely able to hold off an Argyle rally in the 6th. With the bases loaded on walks, T. Gilson made the first out by catching an in-field fly at second base. Out number two was a strikeout by relief pitcher J. Scoville. And the "lucky" third out came when a batted ball struck the Argyle base runner between second and third.

In the bottom of the 6th, Pec faced a new pitcher, but J. Hendrickson was able to pop a line-drive over second base for a single. He would later steal second, third, and even home for the go-ahead run before Argyle recorded three outs.

Argyle had one last chance to regain the stolen lead, and they would give it a valiant try even succeeding in loading the bases. But one batter struck out, another got caught trying to steal home on a passed ball, and Pec's left-fielder, J. Melvin, dashed the hopes of the final batter when he caught a high deep fly ball near left-centerfield.
