Game Notes: Bluejays add yet another Glencoe Days victory to the history books
Bluejays score early and often..

1st, Menard and ode walk to start the game, then an out, Eric singles in menard, another out, Boomer singles in Ode, Tony singles in Eric..3-0 Bluejays

2nd inn, Dean singles, Menard walks, Ode hits a double (scores dean), Slater hits a 3 run homer 7-0 Bluejays

Bluejays put it in cruise control from there scoring just enough for the 10- run rule. In the 5th it could've gottem way worse.. after plato scores a run, the bases are loaded with no outs, then came 3 of the worst at bats in town team history, Boomer strikes out, tony pops up to catcher, 7 Nixy bounces a ball off his toe that rolls to 1st and stands in the box for the 3rd out.. Tony breezed through 8 inns scattering 8 hits.

Every starter in the Bluejays line up had atleast 1 hit, with Tony & Ode getting 3 each, Slater, Boomer, Nixy,Dean added 2 each
(Fun) Facts about the game
Tony was crowned glencoe days king and paraded around like royalty after the game.
Now the rumer is Boomer and Menard With Nixy Boy in there corner, have challenged Buck Rock n Roll and a partner of his choice for the tag team championship belts Saturday night at Glencoe days.

Nixy showed us the bruise on his toe where the ump didn't call a so called foul ball, but then adding..."well i also dropped a keg on it at work"

Nixy was over heard telling a fan " Boomer was gonna start pitching but his arm was still sore from signing contracts in the off season"

Nolan Lepel waiting on deck in the 8th, watching Cody hit.."Anything but a double play" then watched a 6-4-3 DP said " that, anything but that"
Afterwards MO says "old guys 11, guys in there prime 1"

The Glencoe game has been the one everyone looks forward to the most each yr, the rivalry, the crowd, etc. This will be the game that the vetrans miss the most, but a great way for the 5 horseman to go out!!
