Notes:
The East Suns and Port Washington Pirates passed the lead back and forth five times on Thursday at Regner Park, but in the end the Suns pulled out a 3-2 win in seven innings over Port Washington Varsity. Suns took the victory in walk off fashion. The bottom of the 7th, 2 out heroics were led by Sam Lemke. Matt Schubert reached on a single, Reimer sacraficed Shubert to second with a bunt. Shubert then advanced on a passed ball followed with Loveland striking out. Suns then scored on an RBI single by Sam Lemke off Bartlein, scoring Matt Schubert. Jake Perez was a workhorse on the rubber for the Suns. Perez pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four. Jonah Maas got the win in relief for the Suns. Maas pitched one inning and allowed no runs. The top of the first saw the Pirates take an early lead, 1-0. The Suns got one-run rallies in the third, fourth and the seventh innings. In the fourth, Suns scored on an RBI single by Tate Rose, plating Zach Biermann. Port Washington Varsity tied the game in the sixth on an RBI single by Bartlein that scored Huebner. |
