Suns refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against West Bend West, recording a 9-0 victory on Monday at Regner Park. Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Suns to put the game away early. A sacrifice fly by Zach Biermann and an RBI single by Jake Perez in the first inning helped the Suns put some runs on the board early. Jake racked up five RBIs on two hits for Suns, adding four of the RBI's on his 3rd inning bases loaded grand slam blast. West Bend West couldn't get anything going as long as Matt Schubert was pitching. West Bend West managed just three hits off of the Suns pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work. The Suns tacked on another three runs in the fifth. A bases loaded walk scored Tate Rose to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Sam Lemke's single, scoring Matt Schubert and Nick Reimer. |
