Despite Paul Kaufmann's 2-2 performance at the plate on Friday, Suns took a 7-0 loss at the hands of Homestead Varsity at Rennicke Field. Colton Poellinger got the win for Homestead Varsity. He tossed seven innings of shutout ball. He struck out eight, walked none and surrendered five hits. Homestead Varsity was sparked by Thomas Fazio and Mike Bradford, who teamed up for two hits and two RBIs. Homestead Varsity increased its lead with six runs in the third. A clutch error scored Fazio and Jake Erfourth to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Bradford's single, bringing home Bryce Juedes and Max Heinrich. |
