Suns fall to Grafton Varsity 10-6 despite big hitting performance. East failed to take advantage of Zach Biermann's effort at the plate on Monday, losing 10-6 to Grafton Varsity in seven innings at Grafton HS. Zach rocked Grafton Varsity with two home runs. Zach went 3-4 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Zach homered in the third and seventh innings. Even though Nate Lukas allowed six runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered eight hits. Brad Parsons, Bryan Sternig, Adam Lukas and Bryce Fisk helped lead Grafton Varsity. They combined for nine hits and five RBIs. Jonah Maas was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked one and struck out two. Grafton Varsity jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Brad kicked things off for Grafton Varsity with a single. A single by Nate Lukas then moved Brad from second to third. Adam Lukas singled, plating Brad and Choo Weisflog. A three run blast by Biermann tied the game in the top of the third inning. It didn't take long for Grafton to respond when it scored two runs on a sacrifice fly by Will Birch and an RBI single by Bryce in the bottom of the third inning.
