Andrew Steiner did all he could to give the East Suns Freshman a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past West Bend West, as the Suns Freshman lost 6-2 in seven innings at River Road on Tuesday.
Andrew reached base two times in the game for East. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth inning.
Kleinke got the win for West Bend West. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Kleinke struck out none, walked two and gave up seven hits.
West Bend West was sparked by Kopecky and Butzke, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
West Bend West went up for good in the first, scoring four runs on two singles and a wild pitch.
West Bend West scored one run in the second inning, and then followed it up with one more in the sixth. In the second, West Bend West scored on an RBI single by Kopecky, scoring Bateman.
A two-run sixth inning helped bring the East Suns within three. An RBI double by Dakota Skenandore and an RBI single by Andrew triggered the Suns comeback. West Bend West stopped the rally after Kleinke got Jacob Kruepke to ground out.
