VIU 2021 Spring Break Youth Clinic
Baseball season is finally here! The VIU Mariners baseball team is happy to announce our annual Spring Break Clinic.
Our goal is to help players back into the groove as well as learn new skills to help them be ready for the fast approaching season. Every day will have offensive and defensive training, and end with a game. All players will get to throw and hit with a radar gun, use the new batting cage, bench mark testing and swing results using blast motion sensors.
The camp days are 9-12 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday both weeks of spring break. Players can bring a snack to eat before game time.
All registered campers will receive a shirt and hat at check-in.

100 Inning Fundraiser
The Vancouver Island University Mariners’ Baseball team is training hard for the 2020-2021 season, with a single minded focus on bringing the CCBC Championship back to Nanaimo. Since 2006 we have been dedicated to providing student-athletes nationwide with the best baseball experience in the country. We play in the only college baseball league in Western Canada, the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference, which stretches throughout B.C. and Alberta. Our pre season schedule includes games in Arizona and California against high level DII, NAIA, and JUCO programs.
The 100 Inning Fundraiser Game is a marathon game where fans and supporters sponsor their favorite Mariner for all 100 innings they play. It is a great way for the players to have fun while raising money to offset our spring travel costs and help to cover losses from COVID-19. As a university club program, we rely almost exclusively on support from the VIU Baseball community both on and off the island. Please sponsor your favorite player and join us in our hunt for the CCBC Championship!
