The Illinois Shooting Stars continued their efforts to give back to the community by having a basketball clinic for the youth held at the Jackie Joyner Kersee Foundation of East St. Louis, IL. During the clinic the children were taught the fundamentals of the game, the importance of team work on and off the court and also had an opportunity to scrimmage in front of their friends and family. Each child walked away with a ticket to the Stars first home game on May 11, 2013 and some essential tools they need so that they may continue their journey in basketball and in everyday life. The IL. Stars had a great time and we are looking forward to next years clinic. |

On November 17, 2012 the Illinois Shooting Stars were out in the community to give back. The Shooting Stars along with the Helping Hands Ministry and S.T.A.R Entertainment got together to help out those who need it most this holiday season. |

| The Illinios Shooting Stars Women's Semi Pro Basketball team and S.T.A.R Entertainment are partnering up for a night of giving back. Saturday Dec. 15 at Club 270 9pm -130am. Everyone 21 and older are free all night with a toy. ALL donations will be given to a charity of each organizations choice. Hope to see you there. |

| ILSS takes out time to mentor and play with the Confluence Academy Prep School. Thanks to head coach Ava Smith and her staff for giving us the opportunity to speak to her girls. They are truly a great group of young ladies. |

The Illinois Shooting Stars wants the world to know that we advocate voting and the importance of everyone getting to the poles to vote, no matter who you vote for. If you don't vote then you are left with no voice in your community, your state, or even your country.

618-274-5437The Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center is located in East St. Louis and serves the youth and families of the surrounding towns of Alroton, Brooklyn, Centreville and Washington Park. Some of the programs offered at the Center are private tutoring, academic enrichment program, ACT/SAT preparation, a reading program, dance, arts and crafts, homework help and finance training. There is also tackle football instruction for youth that is affiliated with the Tri-County Junior Football Conference.
Amenities: a Wellness Center, 1,200 seat gymnasium, a Fitness Center, Dance Studio, 2 football fields, 2 Softball Fields, 2 Baseball Fields, a music room and a Science Lab. The Center can be rented to host special events.

All home games and the regional game will be played at the beautiful Jackie Joyner Kersee Center.
