Colorado Venom 02' to move to 12U division

The Colorado Venom 02' will split its ranks and move to 12U.  Coach Joe Ruiz will assume head coaching role for the Colorado Venom 02' and Matt Kiernan will stay at 10U transforming into the Colorado Venom 03' Elite.  The Colorado Venom 03'Elite team will be built around second and third year players and compete nationally in 2014.  We wish the best of luck to Joe and an amazing group of girls moving on to the 12U division where we know you will do amazing.

Mt. Rushmore Classic Champions

The Colorado Venom defeated the Rapid City Blasters 13-1 going 6 and 1 for the weekend.  The Venom scored 13 runs on 9 hits and was supported by a 45 pitch 3 inning game by 9 year old Ava K. Thanks to Rick Denherder and the people of Rapid City for putting on the best run tournaments.

Colorado Venom02' take 3rd place at the Shoot out on the Plains tournament in Brighton, CO

Colorado Venom 02' lose 8-9 to the Adrenaline in a close fought battle.  Losing 2-6 Kenzi G. hit a 199' bomb that hit the base of the fence starting a rally that tied up the game at 8-8.  Unfortunately there was a 6 run per inning rule in effect having to clear the bases with bases loaded and one out. The Adtrenaline went on to win tournament defeating the Boulder Stars.

Colorado Venom 02' Big Slam Champions

The Colorado Venom 02' defeat the Cheyenne Extreme 15-0 to be crowned Big Slam Champions.  Kynzi B. got the girls on track with 2 home runs in pool play. The bats came alive though in the championship game propelling the team to victory. They were backed by a lights out performance by Ava K. pitching a 42 pitch 4 inning shutout.

Colorado Venom 10U Runner-ups

Colorado Venom fall short in exciting battle with the Northern Colorado Roadrunners in the Don't Call Me Blue Tournament.  Venom fall short 11-7 in an exciting back and forth game.  Ava K. named Co-MVP.
