| STATE PLAYOFF REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL ROUND Pflugerville (28-6) vs. The Woodlands (26-5) Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 Site and Time: A&M Consolidated High School, College Station, Texas (7 p.m.) On Tuesday, February 22, Pflugerville, 28-6 overall and ranked No. 10 in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches/Tex Preps Basketball Magazine poll, will face The Woodlands High School in the State Tournament Regional quarterfinal round of the 5A playoffs. The Woodlands, 26-5, is from the Conroe ISD. Head coach Nancy Walling's Panthers earned their 19th Area Championship in program history with a 65-50 Feb. 17 victory over No. 12 ranked Spring Dekaney. Pflugerville had defeated Del Valle, 50-29, on February 14 to earn the program's 23rd Bi-District championship and eighth in a row. The Pflugerville-The Woodlands contest takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at A&M Consolidated HS in College Station, Texas. A 7 p.m. tip is scheduled. See directions, below. The Woodlands is No. 19 in the 5A state TABC/Texas Preps rankings and finished second in 14-5A district play. The Highlanders' playoff victories came against Klein Collins (60-47, bi-districts) and against Round Rock McNeil (56-29) on Feb. 18 in the Area round.
