| Salisbury the number six 2A rank team in the state come to Wheatmore for the first time. The Lady Warriors started the game with the opening kick off and was able to get a shot off from Lexa Wall, but the Salisbury keeper was able to make the save. Then Salisbury went to work, staying on the the attack for the remaining time in the first half but was only able to put one ball in goal. Hannah Ryan played solid in the first half with 6 saves. The Tide changed in the second when the lady warriors began controling the game and pushing the ball forward. Salisbury had to change their game plan from offense to defense. With opportunity after opportunity the warriors could never find the back of the net. Wheatmore had the champ on the ropes but could never land the knock out blow. In the 73rd minute Salisbury found their way to the Warriors box and was able to finish. Then in the 75th minute Salisbury finished off the warriors with a goal off a corner. Great Effort by the whole team. |
