The Cy Fair Bobcats lost 4-0 on Saturday night to a very talented and deep MacArthur team. Both teams stuggled to capitalize on scoring opportunies early in the game. MacArthur got on the scoreboard 25 minutes into the first half and followed up quickly with a 25 yard strike to go into halftime with a 2-0 lead. Cy Fair continued to fight as Adonis Pinto earned a penalty kick but the Bobcats couldn't close the gap as they failed to convert on a penalty kick nearing the end of the first half.
Cy Fair opened the second half with some aggressive play but couldn't find the back of the net. Fatigue became a major factor as the Bobcats were shorthanded throughout the tournament with numerous injuries. The Generals put the game out of reach at 3-0 and scored in the last thirty seconds of the game to make the final score 4-0.
Junior Murtaza Rivzi and Senior Tyler Anselmi were named to the all-Tournament team.
The Bobcats turn their attention to the Kingwood Tournament which gets underway on Thursday. |
