The Stars will present a spirit award at the end of the season each year,The award will remember SGT First Class William R Brown (Bill) to everyone who knew him,Bill died in Kandahar Afghanistan he was a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces,his father David Roberts will give out the award at the end of the season.

The number 50 was Bill's high school jersey number the award represents some of the qualities Bill the person was and what the Stars program is all about .
