The Benbrook Stars prep academy football program has started to move forward the first year program is not a little league organization in the typicial setting of what those organizations do, the economy has and will change the course of what those organizations were and will be in the future .The numbers are down per team in youth organizations and the cost has gone up forcing parents to take a look if they can afford to pay for the kids to play in any sports program, many parents will make the effort to get the kid into sports but many will not be able to afford the cost.
And will choose to wait until junior high to allow the kids to join a sports team which is still free for now but again many school districts have and are taking a look at charging for what used to be free, the Stars is a value added football program the academy is just that a training ground for young players who may have that extra something that says talent in the sport of football, with the game changing those players who are fast but not technique sound no longer have what used to be a ticket to a scholarship or even before that a set position on the junior high team, sure coaches still love speed that's the name of the game but speed without technique leads to failure from the player perspective.
The future of youth football on the field has already started to change into rec. league and upper level play ,other youth sports like baseball has already moved into this system, the Stars unlike many programs in this class offer scholarships our goal is to reach as many kids who have the desire to be the very best their skill set will allow to find the path to build and develop those skills.
The program has purchased a 52 passenger bus that will be repainted and some custom inside work done to offer some comfort for the team for away games in 2013 and possibly for player transportation to and from practice in 2013 when needed, the program has started to look for a location that it will base it's offices in the city of Benbrook. |
