Things are really progressing! The beginning of the season is over and we are headed into mid-season already. First of all THANK YOU to all of the parents who have come out to cheer, donated items and been all around supportive of our new program. I truly appreciate it and it makes starting this program a lot easier. Our next meet is September 14^th at Atascocita High School in Humble. It will be run on the Regional Championship course. This Saturday at 6am we will run a timed mile on the track followed by some more cool down miles. Our big trip to Round Rock is not too far off and Coach Pitzel and I are booking hotel rooms for the overnight stay. We have a ˝ day on Friday, October 4^th and we will leave after school is released so we can get to Round Rock and preview the state meet course. This means our next fundraiser is right around the corner. The best part of this fundraiser is that there is no selling! We just ask for the kids to ask three close friends or relatives to donate money to the program. The amount does not matter, just whatever they think will help us! At my old school we asked for a minimum of $20 but I’m not going to do that. I still have to get the fundraiser approved and I will talk to the boys about getting it started the week of September 16^th and just try to collect donations until Friday, September 20^th.
