The Dayton Bronco Invitational was our most successful
outing to date. We brought home five medals (Francisco-5th, Braden-6th,
Nicolay-7th, Kyle-15th and
Wongani-19th ; Andres-21st missed a medal by only 1
place) and finished second as a team in the JV division. The results can be
found here. The boys continue to improve and are working hard every day.
This week is a transitional week for us as we are shifting
our training to intervals and speed work but this Saturday is the most
important work out of the season so far. We will meet at the trail head to
George Bush Park at Highland Knolls and Fry Rd. Here is a link to directions. There
is a Walgreens’ on the corner there but park near the cleaners so no one is
towed. We will warm up beginning at 6:30am then complete either 5 or 6 miles,
log the run in our log books and be done. Practice should last about 90
minutes.
Saturday, October 5th is the McNeil Invitational
where we will stay overnight in Round Rock. I will be sending out details for
that trip next week.
"Spirit is doing
things others don't, won't, or can't do, to break away from the group, while
trusting your leader to know when & where it is appropriate to behave a
certain way."
Thanks you for all
that you do!
