Katy, TX----Taylor defeated Cinco Ranch on Tuesday night 54-32 to claim the District 19-5A Championship.  Cinco was led by Megan Palmer with 11 points.  Ashleigh Nwanguma added 11 rebounds for the Cougars, who are now 7-3 in 19-5A play.  Cinco shot just 31% from the field and was forced into 30 turnovers by the Mustangs. 

Cinco will take on Morton Ranch on Friday night in their final road game of the '10-'11 season.  The Cougars will then have their home finale next Tuesday against Katy.  Cinco will then set its sights on the state playoffs, where they have qualified as either the #2 or #3 seed out of 19-5A.
