| Posted Feb 15/11 - Bobcats continue to roll with 5-0 win over Cy Ranch |
| The Cy Fair Bobcats pushed their district record to 4-0 with a 5-0 shutout win over Cy Ranch. Cy Fair scored the first goal 20 minutes into the game as Carlos Mendoza scored off an assist from Jasiu Zawitkowski. Two minutes later, Xavier Jimenez found the back of the net with a soft chip over the Cy Ranch goal keeper to make the score 2-0 going in at halftime.
The Bobcats controlled the second half with a solid goalkeeping effort and a strong back line defense. The Bobcats maintained great ball possession which led to three more goals for Cy Fair. Carlos Mendoza had a rare hat trick with two goals in the second half including a penalty kick after being pulled down on a breakaway. Jasiu Zawitkowski ended the scoring surge with a nice assist from Johan Sagastume. The Bobcats return home Friday night to host Cy Springs at 7pm.
