Cinco Ranch 42 Austin Anderson 30 Sydney Thomas scored 11 points and Taylor Williams added 10 to lift the Cougars to a 12 point win over Austin Anderson on Saturday afternoon. Williams also grabbed 7 rebounds to pace Cinco. Jaylon McClure had three assists.
#3 Cypress Falls 71 Cinco Ranch 38 The Golden Eagles, the state's number 3 ranked team, led 45-23 at halftime and never looked back to move onto the tournament semifinals. Shayne Ortiz and Angie Moore tallied 8 points each in the losing effort. Ortiz added four assists and Moore had three steals.
Cinco Ranch 47 Colleyville Heritage 45 Megan Palmer scored 21 points and Angie Moore had a strong second half and added 15 points to lead Cinco to a come from behind victory over Colleyville Heritage on Friday afternoon. Cinco trailed 17-6 after one quarter but cut the lead to 27-22 at intermission. The Cougars outscored their foes from the Dallas area 13-8 to pull out the close victory. Christy Williams had four steals in a strong defensive showing as the Cougars improved to 11-1 on the season.
Cinco Ranch 62 Humble 22 Megan Palmer scored 15 points and Jaylon McClure added 12 more to lead the Cougars past Humble on Thursday afternoon. Cinco jumped out to a 23-1 lead after one quarter and never was threatened. Sydney Thomas, Cayla Vanderweide, and Whitney Jefferson each dished out four assists, with Thomas adding six steals and Vanderweide having four thefts. |
