Cinco Ranch senior Megan Palmer is a nominee for the prestigious McDonald's All-American Team for the 2011-2012 year. Palmer is a Rice signee and has been a four year starter for the Cougars. She currently has 1,357 points and 982 rebounds in her stellar career and is just the fourth honoree from Cinco Ranch to be recognized. She joins Stefanie Gilbreath ('06-'07), Briana Gilbreath ('07-'08) and Demi Clinch ('09-'10). The nominees will be chosen through a selection process and the chosen will play on March 28th in the 11th annual Girls game at the United Center in Chicago, IL. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

The 6'1" senior was named 2nd Team All-District after her freshman and sophomore years and was a 1st Team selection as a junior. Palmer was also named to the prestigious All-Region Team by TABC (Texas Association of Basketball Coaches) as a junior. She has also been Academic All-District for all three years.
