The Giants Baseball Club is always promoting amateur player development at every level.

To that end, the Club is pleased to count Paul Lagimodière as a Director and Coach. Paul brings with him a long history of involvement in Winnipeg baseball; a contribution that includes being named "2005 Aboriginal Coach of the Year". His direct involvement enriches the playing experience of the Club's Junior and Senior players.

In addition, through sessions he calls "High~Per Baseball", he offers private coaching in two of the key baseball skills: hitting and pitching.

High~Per Baseball pitching & hitting clinics for 2010 will begin Sunday, January 17,2010 at Elmwood High School. They will run Sundays during the months of January through May; until it's playable outdoors. Sessions will start at 1:00pm with a duration of two hours until 3:00pm.

Pitching instruction will include lessons such as "Learn control with maximum velocity" and "No sore arms" as well addressing the mental aspects with a focus on mechanics & technique. Hitting instruction will cover topics like: "Learn from the professional approach", "Swing mechanics", "Bat discipline in the strike zone", "Situational hitting", "Bat location at contact with the ball" plus "Process and preparation to successful hitting".

Equipment on site will include: indoor pitching mounds, hands back hitters, stay back hitters, hitting tees & screens.

Clinics will be held in the Senior (large) Gym and everyone can park in the school parking lot off Raleigh St. You will be able to enter the gym at the rear of the building, straight from the parking lot.

For those of you who have attended previous sessions: Have you been doing "The Core"; the key ingredient to guaranteed success in the pitching skill?

Players should bring: glove, runners, bat, and a willingness to learn with enthusiasm.

Paul is also available for private sessions (outdoors only) for a rate of $25 per hour.
